June 27th

Just a note - this has been a tough week for us. Without going into details, Rachel was in a situation at her job which has resulted in the police being involved. Needless to say, she is not working there anymore. Unfortunately, the world is filled with people who will take advantage of and manipulate someone who is weaker. We are now beginning to pursue a more supervised environment for her. Please pray for her and our whole family.

Jer 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Gracie getting a bath. She tends to get a skin condition that is common to westies and then chews at her feet. She ends up with no hair on her feet. Hopefully, a nice oatmeal bath will help.

June 24th

Rose and I went to North Hill's to pick up her daughter Kim. There was a beach music band playing so we grabbed a bite to eat and people watched. We are thinking we might get the guys to go with us next Thursday.

June 23rd

Dan's senior pix arrived. He went to change it in the frame and these were all behind it. Lol!

June 22nd

Arthur got a tattoo last week when his sister was here. It is the Boston Red Sox "B".

June 21st

My apartment community's Kiddie Pool Party. I took this early in the day but we had about 100 people come. Have a pool, fill it with floaties, and serve food and they will come!

June 15 - 20

No pix, just a brief summary of our week, because we are such fascinating people. Lol! My Mom flew out Sunday afternoon and then we went to the Vidal's for Father's Day. Donna and Nahum served Chicken Parmesan (Arthur's favorite). I was so exhausted from the past couple weeks that I forgot my camera : (. Their pool was open so we all went swimming. Monday Arthur went to visit his Aunt Margaret and Uncle Bruce (I had to work) with Nancy. Nancy and Noah came back here for the night and then flew out Tuesday morning. Tuesday night we went down the street to Rose's and Joe's for calimari and spaghetti. The rest of the week we have worked, came home and collapsed. Apparently we are much too old for all this excitement.

June 14th

The Saturday after graduation we had Dan's graduation party. We had a lot of fun visiting with family and friends. Dan was a originally kind of unsure about the party - he kept saying that everyone was going to grill him about his "future". Aunt Nancy told him to tell everyone that he was considering a career as a male dancer. Lol! Don't panic everyone - he's enrolled in culinary arts school right now but he's not sure if that is what he wants to do after all. Anyway, he really enjoyed himself and no one "grilled"him . Well... just Arthur and I; "We are paying how much and you're not *sure* if this is what you want to do! Who's going to support us in our old age?" Sigh...

More June!

Now the really exciting part of June begins! Dan is graduating so some of our family starting arriving.

Aunt Nancy is recovering from surgery so she actually came to NC at the beginning of June but she came to our house on Sunday the 8th. Here she is relaxing on the deck extension with Gracie.

Grandma arrived on Tuesday, June 10th.

June!

June has just flown by! I have been very neglectful of my blog but I just never seem to have time to sit down. Plus there hasn't been anything "picture worthy". I did take a couple pictures over the past couple weeks though.

We had tornado watches or warnings. I can never remember which is worse or what I am suppose to do.

Arthur began working on the deck addition to the screen house.

I'm think that soon my entire yard is going to be decks of various levels.

It was HOT! We actually hit 102 degrees one day. Not exactly how it is supposed to be at this time of year.
